1. Who is responsible for your personal data

This website, avwconsulting.sk, is operated by AvW Consulting s.r.o., a limited liability company registered in the Slovak Republic, with its registered office at Malinová ulica 1568/38, 951 41 Lužianky, IČO 53140141, DIČ 2121281646, IČ DPH SK2121281646, entered in the Commercial Register maintained in Nitra, Section Sro, Insert No. 51576/N.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), AvW Consulting s.r.o. is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. References below to “we”, “us” and “our” are to that company. Full statutory details are on our Company Information page.

We provide marketing, technology, software and data services to businesses and professional firms. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and our business enquiries, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

2. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to visitors to this website and to people who contact us through it — typically the owners, employees or representatives of businesses, practices and professional firms. We do not market to consumers, and this site is not directed at children.

3. What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the enquiry form on our Contact page, we receive the details you enter: your name, your email address, the subject you provide, and the content of your message. If you contact us directly by email or telephone, we receive the details you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting infrastructure records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, the type of browser and device you use, the pages you request and the time of the request. This is generated by our server and hosting provider for security and operational purposes.

Information we do not want. Please do not send us passwords, health records, legal case files, government identifiers, payment-card details or other sensitive information through the general enquiry form. That form is not a secure channel. If an engagement requires confidential or sensitive material, we will agree a secure method and the terms for handling it in writing first.

4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Under Article 6 of the GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). To respond to your enquiry, to correspond with you about a potential or existing engagement, to operate and secure the website, and to prevent spam and abuse. We have balanced these interests against your rights and consider that, in a business-to-business context, they are not overridden by them.
  • Contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Where you are a client or a prospective client, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform a contract we have agreed with you.
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)). Where we ask for your consent — for example, for any optional cookie or analytics choice — you may withdraw it at any time.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). To keep records where accounting, tax or other law requires it.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate the site and our business, and only as far as necessary. They act on our instructions. The categories are:

  • Hosting and infrastructure. Our website is hosted on a shared hosting account provided by our hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs.
  • Email delivery. Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to us by email through our email delivery service.
  • Spam protection. The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which processes technical signals to distinguish people from automated submissions.
  • Professional advisers. Accountants, auditors and legal advisers where necessary, and where the law requires it.

We do not share your enquiry with other law firms, marketing partners or lead buyers. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are established outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision — and require the recipient to protect the data to a standard equivalent to that in the EEA.

7. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become engagements. Kept while the enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
  • Client and contract records. Kept for the duration of the engagement and for the period required by Slovak accounting and tax law (generally ten years).
  • Server logs. Kept for a short operational period by our hosting provider, then deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
  • ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete (rectification);
  • ask us to delete data where there is no good reason for us to keep it (erasure);
  • ask us to restrict or stop processing it in certain circumstances (restriction and objection);
  • receive data you gave us in a portable format (portability);
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 13. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, access controls on our hosting account, and keeping the software we use up to date. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies. They are described in our Cookie Policy, which also explains how to control them.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak supervisory authority:

Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky
Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, Slovak Republic
dataprotection.gov.sk

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top records the current version. Where a change is significant, we will make that clear on the site.
